ABOUT ABOUT

As the old proverb (sort of) goes, "Give a man some sushi, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to roll his own sushi, and you feed him for a lifetime." Okay, so we modernized it a bit, but the message is clear, and with today's deal, it's ringing loudly. You'll learn to make sushi from the mistress of the maki with The Art of Making Sushi with Madame Saito (a $185 value). Pack a knife and a box to carry your goodies home -- in this five-part, three-hour course at The HeadHouse restaurant, you'll create two hoso (regular) maki rolls, two ura (reverse) maki rolls, two temaki (hand) rolls, a shrimp-soft-shell-crab tempura roll, and 20 pieces of nigiri (sushi on rice) and sashimi (sliced fish). Courses are held every other Sunday and Wednesday, and are great for all skill levels. Take a date for an adventurous outing, or save this seductive skill for a night in -- either way, it's sure to be an educational (and aphrodisiacal) evening.
